In 1966, Paul McCartney was in a car crash. It is my belief (and others) that the most damage he recieved was a cut to his upper lip, which he grew a mustache to cover. However, some fans believe that he was killed in this car crash, and replaced with a look alike named Billy Shears, while the other Beatles covered up his death.
Let's begin with Sgt. Pepper. On the album cover, you can see flowers, and the yellow ones seem to form a guitar, or to spell out "Paul?". People believe this signified funeral flowers. On the front cover, there is also a hand held above Paul's head. This is supposed to mean death in some religions. In "A Day In The Life" there are the lyrics "he blew his mind out in a car", leading people to think he died in the car crash. On Paul's jacket in the second picture, you can see he's wearing a patch that says O.P.D., supposedly meaning Officialy Pronounced Dead. In the song Sgt. Pepper, there is the lyric "So let me introduce to you/The one and only Billy Shears!" This was taken to mean that Paul was replaced by a look alike named Billy Shears.
At the end of Strawberry Fields, many fans believed they heard John saying softly, "I buried Paul", when he in fact was singing "cranberry sauce." The song I Am The Walrus is supposedly about Pauls death, the lyrics "stupid bloody Tuesday" referring to the day Paul died, and "the eggman" referring to Humpty Dumpty, who cracked his head(supposedly like Paul).
Fans also believe that the Abbey Road album cover was significant. John is in white, so supposedly representing the priest. Ringo, dressed in black, represents the undertaker. George, in jeans, representing the gravedigger. Meanwhile Paul is barefoot, and out of step with the others, which was made out to be that he was dead.
In the song "Revolution 9", if you play it backwards, you can hear the phrase "turn me on dead man", or something along the lines of that. On the back cover, there is a picture of Paul soaking in water. Many people commented on how it looked like Paul's decapitated head floating in blood.(You can see his arms and his neck connected in the picture, but that's none of my buisness*sips tea*)
Well now look at that! His body has slightly changed! A small part, his ear more specifically. Since he is (or was) a Beatle, that can't happen to him. Therefore, that isn't actually Paul McCartney. Obviously.
Paul is obviously never able to hurt himself. So the scar must be from surgery on Faul, therefore that is not Paul! Wow!
Obviously someones teeth can't change as they grow.
For some people, this is more than enough evidence to prove that Paul is dead, and that he was replaced by a look alike that went through plastic surgery. As well as that the other Beatles went through extensive work aside from music making, to hide the death, and yet place subtle clues throughout albums. Wow.
I think that it's totally ridiculous that this even a thing. Besides, even if the real Paul is dead, the "fake Paul" still makes great music and makes a ton of people happy, so... The Beatles were just trying to make people happy if this was a true conspiracy.
